Salty hair, sunburnt skin, and endless adventure - summer’s calling.
There’s something nostalgic about summer. As days stretch longer and sun grows stronger, the seasonal change always brings back memories of driving to the neighborhood pool in mom’s old van, licking icy popsicles as syrup drips down your wrist, and smelling the coconut citrus of Sun-In as it dries in the front sections of your hair to create “natural highlights.”
But as you got older, summer was about creating memories with your best friends, jetting off to a new destination and squeezing together in a budget hotel excitedly talking about the plans and places you would visit in the next few days. It was sipping a bright drink with sand in your shoes, working your first jobs, and feeling like you were on the edge of something great.
Whether you’re boarding a plane or taking your kiddos out to play in the sprinklers, here are some of our favorite suggestions for an unforgettable summer.
1). Sunset Sippin’
Gather your girlfriends, wear your hair down, and order a tray of icy margaritas on a rooftop at dusk. We love Topside at Via Lido Hotel. Alternatively, elevate a backyard gathering by curating a coastal-inspired tablescape. Whip some ricotta, drizzle a dollop of honey, and give each guest their own seashell appetizer plate. Out on the town or relaxing at home, make the most of summer nights with good friends and good food.
2). Fired Up
Load up the cooler, make sure the speaker’s charged, and head on down to a wide open space (waterfront preferred). Make sure to bring some blankets, your favorite cozy hoodie, and of course, a case of Onda seltzers 😉. A bonfire is a great way to bring people together and bond over s’mores, made just the way Dad used to.
3). Give Back Good Vibes
Make a difference in your community by joining a volunteer beach or park cleanup with some of your best gal pals. The Surfrider Foundation has a great network connecting people to their Ocean Initiative projects. Don’t forget to hydrate and bring along some H20 with our Water Bottle Sling.

4). Happy Trails
Take your hot girl walk to the great outdoors by exploring nearby hikes or trying a new route immersed in green spaces. Some of our favorite trails in the SoCal area include Whiting Ranch, Top of the World, Torrey Pines, Palos Verdes, and Escondido Falls. We also love the AllTrails app to find new paths and climb to new heights!
5). Professional Staycationers
You don’t have to go far to feel the thrill of travel. Pack up your Béis Weekender and find a town a couple hours away for the perfect easy getaway. Maybe you’re drawn to a new experience, like a natural wine tasting, an art installation, or you just spend hours wandering picturesque streets and popping into the occasional shop.
Wherever the summer takes you, make sure you say yes to life, embrace every challenge, and fill your days with sun and memories. Don’t forget to tag us @beis or #TheBeisHouse so we can catch up on all your amazing moments.
